GnuPG VS-Desktop 3.2.2
GnuPG VS-Desktop® version 3.2.2 is available since 2024-04-18. This is a bugfix release. The previous version was 3.2.1.
New Features
GUI (Kleopatra)
- The German approval manual is now available as a Help item. (T6945)
- If Kleopatra was — despite warnings — started with elevated rights, it will in this case now quit on close. (T7049, T7050)
- For CRL checks the root CAs provided by the system are now also considered. (T6963)
Solved Bugs
GUI (Kleopatra)
- Improved "Lookup on server" process when no Keyserver is configured. (T6761, T6866, T6868)
- The gpg-agent will now be restarted immediately by Kleopatra in case the background processes are stopped with "Restart background processes". (T7021)
Engine (GnuPG)
- There is no longer an unprotected smartcard backup key left on disk. This bug affects only users of GnuPG VS-Desktop® versions 3.2.0 and 3.2.1 if, and only if, they didn't followed the standard procdure on how to intialize an OpenPGP card or Yubikey. See 20240125-smartcard-backup-key for a security advisory. (T6944)
- Revocation of a RSA2048 key (and other non-compliant algorithms) is now possible. (rG89c7eccba5)
- Import of PKCS#12 files using a long salt value is now possible. (T6757)
